Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has installed an automatic micro bacteria detection system to boost its laboratory services. The automatic micro bacteria detection system in IGMH was installed by State Trading Organisation (STO).
The first microbiology laboratory equipment consists of a bacteria identification machine, a blood group identification machine and a machine to monitor the safety of blood. The system will assist the laboratory services without any interruptions, revealed STO.
Senior Consultant in Pathology of IGMH Dr. Milza Abdul Muhsin said installation of an automated system will enable to issue lab reports more accurately and quickly. Moreover, Chief Laboratory Technician Fathimath Reesha highlighted the developments brought to the laboratory with the installation of the automatic micro bacteria detection system.
IGMH describes the installation of an automated system in the laboratory as a milestone achievement for the hospital. STO spent over USD 300,000 for the installation of the system.
