Ambassadors of four countries present Credentials to President Yameen

Ambassadors of four countries have presented credentials to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
In this regard, Non-resident Ambassador of Morocco to Maldives Mohamed Maliki, Non-Resident Ambassador of Vietnam to Maldives Pham Thi Bich Ngoc, Non-Resident Ambassador of Serbia Valdimir Maric and Non-Resident Ambassador of Georgia Achil Dzuliashvili presented Letters of Credence to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. This is the first time a Georgian Ambassador was appointed to the Maldives.
At the ceremony held at President's Office, President Yameen welcomed the Ambassadors to the Maldives and congratulated the Ambassadors on the commencement of their term. President Yameen and Ambassadors discussed ways of further strengthening bilateral relations between their respective countries, and on exploring further areas of cooperation.
During the ceremony, Moroccan Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude for receiving him as the Ambassador of Morocco and expressed hope and confidence to continue working closely with the Maldives and further consolidating the existing relations between the two countries. The Ambassador also expressed ways to further strengthen relations and cooperation between the nations, in areas of tourism, Islamic education and increased scholarships.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese Ambassador expressed assurances of commitment from Vietnam to continue in its role as a friend and a partner to the Maldives; highlighting that Vietnam stands ready to extend support and assistance to the Maldives in every way possible.
Furthermore, Ambassador of Serbia conveyed his assurances of the full support of Serbia and commitment in further enhancing cooperation with the Maldives in the different areas; especially in providing assistance in sports, trade, and education; and to explore new areas of mutual collaboration.
Moreover, Ambassador of Georgia expressed gratitude for receiving him as the first Non-Resident Ambassador to the Maldives; assuring the President that he would work to promote relations between the Maldives and Georgia for the mutual benefit of both countries.
