Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has voiced concern on the report of European Union Electoral Follow-up Mission (EFM). One of the key points of the EFM report was granting freedom to practice multiple religions in Maldives by amending the constitution.
The statement proved the interest of the opposition to establish the practice of multiple religions and noted the government will always uphold the principles of Islam in Maldives, Housing Minister Muizzu said speaking on a programme aired on PSM News. Noting that while uncountable development projects are conducted in Maldives, the Housing Minister said the opposition without supporting the endeavors are working tirelessly to plunge the country in to chaos.
The citizens will not accept such actions and will always uphold the religion and sovereignty of the nation, according to Minister Muizzu.
