President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has launched the book, chronicling the highlights of national developmental projects, especially the major projects conducted in the past four years. The book, compiled by the President's Office, was launched at a ceremony held at the President's Office.
The book is aimed at providing information on groundbreaking megaprojects carried out during the current administration, as part of President Yameen's development agenda. The book includes information on the completed projects and those currently underway across the country. The book is primarily targeted for researchers and university students, facilitating them to get in-depth information on the advancement during the past four years.
President Abdulla Yameen assured development projects will solve several issues in the country, speaking at the function. In his speech, the President highlighted the issues faced by citizens of Male' and noted the solutions initiated by the government.
Apart from the information on developmental projects, the book also encompasses information on projects conducted from 2009 to 2013. The book was compiled with data based on information provided by the respective Ministries, State Companies, City Councils, Atoll Councils, and Island Councils. An online version of the book will be available at the official website of President's Office, according to President's Office.
The President was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers, Members of the Parliament, senior officials of the government and senior student representatives from schools, at the ceremony.
