Maldives calls for efficient cross-pillar coordination in peacebuilding efforts

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim has called for greater coordination between the pillars of the United Nations so that maximum benefits could be reaped in peace building efforts.
An integrated approach is necessary when considered in the context of the 2030 Agenda and the indivisible nature of the 2030 Agenda, Minister Asim highlighted speaking at the Interactive Dialogue of the High Level Meeting on Peace Building and Sustaining Peace. Maldives also highlighted the importance of an inclusive approach that involves all segments of society, especially women and youth, according to the Minister.
The High Level Meeting on Peace Building and Sustaining Peace, hosted by the President of the General Assembly is being held in New York from April 24-25.
