President Yameen conveys condolences to the family of Former First Lady

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed condolences to the family of Former First Lady Mariyam Saeed, Former Spouse of President Ibrahim Nasir, upon her passing. Late Mariyam Saeed passed away in Sri Lanka after prolonged illness at the age of 85 years.
Late Mariyam Saeed was born into a family of poets, and was widely recognised as a writer and poet. Moreover, in 1983 late Mariyam Saeed was conferred the National Award of Honour in the field of Dhivehi poetry.
