Civil Societies of Maldives has concluded Human Rights NGO Forum. The forum was attended by members from 32 non-governmental organisations.
The Human Rights NGO forum is aimed at disseminating information about the work carried out by Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) and creates a network between non-governmental organisations in the country. International consultants took special sessions for the participants during the two-day forum. Intensive discussions were held during the forum with non-governmental organisations, said HRCM.
In 2009, HRCM established a NGO network to support and assist human rights organisations and to secure the cooperation between those organisations. The network aims to collaborate with non-governmental organisations in protecting and promoting human rights.
