Foreign Secretary Ahmed Sareer hosted a Welcome Reception for the participants of the Third Ambassadorial Workshop, under the theme “Developing Sustainably – Sharing Experiences, Seeking Solutions” to be held from 37-30 of April in the Maldives.
At the reception hosted at Kurumba Maldives, Foreign Secretary Sareer, welcomed the Ambassadors from nine different countries, who had travelled all the way from New York, to attend the two-day workshop. Addressing the event, Foreign Secretary Sareer said, the workshop is designed as an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and draw lessons on sustainable development of tourism and fisheries sector, while preserving the country’s natural environment.
The reception was also attended by the senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other line ministries.
