Maldives concludes sessions of Third Ambassadorial Workshop

Ministry of Foreign Affairs has concluded sessions held as part of the third edition of the Ambassadorial Workshop. The sessions of the third edition of the Ambassadorial Workshop focused on three thematic areas of sustainable fisheries, tourism and environmental conservation.

The Maldives also enlightened participants on the difficult and challenging developmental journey it had taken over the past decades and on how the Maldives overcame those challenges and obstacles to be on the present trajectory of progress.

The first session was held on Tourism as a sustainable tool for development, which concluded with takeaways and lessons learnt in Maldives tourism development. The second session was held on environment and climate change: opportunities and challenges which concludes with sharing achievements of Maldives in tackling adverse effects of climate change.

Moreover, the third session of the forum was held on sustainable fisheries as a viable economic activity, trends and challenges. The session according to Foreign Ministry concluded with takeaways and lessons learnt on Maldives sustainable fisheries development.

The Maldives is hosting its Third Ambassadorial Workshop from April 27 to April 30, under the theme Developing Sustainably Sharing Experiences, Seeking Solutions. Ambassadors from 9 different countries are participating in the workshop.
