Maldives Media Institute (MMI) has initiated a training programme targeted to familiarise officers of Maldives Police Service to media and communication. 12 police officers from units including the Police Media Centre are participating in the 10-day training programme, according to MMI.
The training programme is crucial as it covers the latest technology and techniques utilised in the evolving media sector, acting head of Police Media Centre Inspector of Police Yousuf Bushree revealed in an exclusive interview with PSM News. Special sessions will be conducted by industry professionals in fields such as journalism, photography and videography during the training programme, according to Programme Coordinator of MMI Mohamed Shareef.
Furthermore, information is also provided about the optimum route Maldives Police Service has to take in delivering information about critical situations.
