The Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousuf bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen has arrived in Maldives on an official visit. The Secretary General was greeted on arrival at the Velana International Airport by Foreign Secretary of Maldives Ahmed Sareer.
Al-Othaimeen will pay a courtesy call on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and will meet senior officials of the government of Maldives including Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim, during his two-day official visit.
The Secretary General is also scheduled to deliver a lecture at Maldives National University. He is accompanied by Head of Department of Muslim countries Dr. Hassan Aabideen.
