Chancellor of IUM meets key figures of Saudi Arabia

Chancellor of Islamic University of Maldives (IUM) Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has paid a courtesy call on the President of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Bandar Bin Al Hajjar.
The Chancellor of IUM gave a brief introduction of the university, including the vision, mission and objectives and detailed about the programmes offered at IUM, mentioning the university was established under a Presidential to expand the scope of Arabic and Islamic education in Maldives and promote modern educational Islamic thoughts and ethics. Moreover, the Chancellor kindly requested to assist IUM in the areas of need, specifically mentioning about the ongoing Waqf project.
Furthermore, the Chancellor also visited the administration of IDB. The President of IDB welcomed the Chancellor and the delegation and expressed his high hopes for the university. Moreover, the Chancellor also paid a visit to IDB Wagf department and educational department and he kindly requested to increase the number of scholarship opportunities for the Maldivian students.
In addition, Chancellor Shaheem also paid a courtesy call to the President of King Abdul Aziz University Professor Dr. Abdurraham Bin Ubaid Al-Yoobi. During the call, Chancellor stated many Maldivian graduates of King Abdul Aziz University are holding high level positions of the government and are serving the country in various beneficial ways. In this regard, Dr. Shaheem requested to increase the number of educational opportunities provided for Maldivian students.
The President of the University, welcomed the Chancellor and gave his commitment to provide assistance in the areas requested by the Chancellor and expressed interest for further collaborations.
