Minister of Home Affairs Ahmed Azleen has stated it is a national duty of the police institution to strengthen the trust of citizens towards the force. Home Minister Ahmed Azleen made the remarks at the convocation ceremony of Institute for Security and Law Enforcement Studies (ISLES).
Police are the people who must uphold the rule of law and the constitution, said Home Minister Azleen. Noting the police should refrain from all political activities to ensure professionalism, Minister Azleen called on the police force to strengthen the trust of the citizens towards the institution. The Minister said the police must put forth national interest above everything else.
During the ceremony, graduation was held for 40 students from the third batch of Bachelors of Science in Security and Law Enforcement Studies and 23 students from the second batch of Diploma in Policing.
