Honorary Consul of Nepal calls on Vice President

Honorary Consul of Maldives in Nepal Nirvana Chaudhary has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad, this afternoon, at the President’s Office.
During the call, the Vice President emphasized the excellent relations that exist between the Maldives and Nepal and expressed gratitude for the kind assistance extended to the Maldivians in Nepal by the Honorary Consul, during the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015.
Speaking at the meeting, Chaudhary extended gratitude for providing the opportunity to serve Maldives and assured his assistance in enhancing the existing relationship with Maldives and Nepal. Moreover, the Vice President and Chaudhary discussed areas of mutual interest that could be further expanded including health cooperation, education, tourism and air connectivity.
Nirvana Chaudhary was first appointed on 13 November 2012 as the Honorary Consul of Maldives in Kathmandu. He is in his second term which would end this November. Nirvana assisted about 100 Maldivians in Nepal, during the devastating 2015 Gorkha Earthquake.
