Ministry of Education has revealed a special mechanism would be established to monitor the usage of Wi-Fi networks utilised by tablets handed over to the students.
Teachers can utilise Wi-Fi networks by undergoing a special registration procedure, Minister of State for Education Ahmed Shafeeu said in a press briefing. In this regard, the State Minister noted efforts to establish a strong monitoring mechanism has now been completed. He said that currently work is being carried out to upgrade the Wi-Fi connection speed given to the schools to allow students for easier and faster browsing.
Continuing on, the State Minister highlighted a special device monitoring software is also installed in all the tablets utilised by schools. An application would block any content which is inappropriate to the children and would also block all the other devices other than required for educational purposes, according to Education Ministry.
