Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) has revealed it collects over 1,400 tonnes of waste per day from the capital Male' city during Ramadan.
The amount of waste has doubled in Ramadan, compared to normal months, added the corporation. During Ramadan, WAMCO has augmented waste collecting to two sessions, following complaints from households regarding waste being uncollected.
Moreover, the WAMCO noted any household registered can dump waste personally except on Friday,
