Ministry of Education has commenced distributing tablets to teachers of Addu city schools, as part of the school digitalisation programme initiated by the government of Maldives.
Teachers are handed over the tablets before students to familiarise them for the system, Minister of State for Education Mohamed Shakir stated speaking as the chief guest of the ceremony held in Addu city. The State Minister added all teachers will be equipped with a tablet before June 18. He said digitalising the school will enable to collect information needed by teachers through one platform and that it will also ease the work of teachers.
Meanwhile, teachers and parents agree digitalising the schools is bringing a revolution to the traditional school system in Maldives. They expressed gratitude towards the current administration for initiating such a programme.
