Ministry of Economic Development has decided to extend the programme initiated to issue on the spot driving licenses.
In a notice issued, Economic Ministry revealed the programme which was initially to end on Monday, has now been extended until Thursday. Over 3,000 people participated in the programme, while 746 licenses were issued, according to Economic Ministry.
The on the spot licence programme allows individuals to take theory and practical tests to receive driving licenses within a day but has to pass the necessary theory and practical tests. The government initiated the programme to minimise youth violating transport regulations and to encourage youth to abide by the laws.
