HPA recommends to undergo influenza vaccination

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has recommended citizens to take vaccine due to the Influenza outbreak in Maldives.
HPA states that it is important to take vaccines to prevent the spread of influenza especially for those who have a high risk of catching the virus, including children, pregnant woman and senior citizens. Influenza vaccines will be available from Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, ADK Hospital, Hulhumale' Hospital, Senahiya Hospital and Urban Primary Health Centre, after a doctor's check-up and assistance, according to HPA.
The agency highlighted the importance to follow the safety guidelines, including covering the mouth while sneezing, staying hygienic and distancing from crowded areas. HPA has been advising people to be wary of the wide spreading Influenza virus over the past weeks.
