Ministry begins familiarising parents about tablets used in teaching

Ministry of Education has begun conducting sessions to familiarise parents to the tablets used in teaching as part of the school digitalisation project initiated by the government.
During the sessions, parents will be made aware of applications used by the tablets, taught how to search for information from the tablets and to keep track of the activities of the students. The sessions are essential as the students will be using the tablets in most of the classes, according to the ministry.
There are 212 schools run by the government and over 70,000 tablets will be distributed to the teachers and students across the country. The tablets have already been distributed to the teachers and the distribution of tablets to the students began on June 11.
