Brigadier General Zakariyya Mansoor has departed to participate in a conference held by United Nations against terrorism.
The "United Nations High-level Conference of Counter Terrorism Agency of Member States" is to be held at the Headquarters of United Nations in New York from June 28 -29. The conference is aimed for the leaders of counter-terrorism agencies from countries all over the world.
Brigadier General Zakariyya Mansoor will be attending the conference on behalf of Maldives as the Director of the Terrorism Centre of Maldives.
The main aim of the conference is to strengthen the relationship between the counties of United Nations in efforts to stand against counter-terrorism. During the conference, skills and policies regarding counter-terrorism and counter-violence extremism.
Maldives will benefit a lot from the conference, according to Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF).
