International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) has extended an invitation to Maldives to become a member of the organisation. The invitation was extended by Vice President of I-FAC Dr. In-Ki Joo during a meeting held with Auditor General of Maldives Hassan Ziyath.
During the meeting, the Vice President of I-FAC assured that he would assist Maldives to become a member of the organisation. Dr. In-Ki Joo received information on professional accounting and auditing in Maldives, according to Auditor General's Office.
Dr. In-Ki Joo visited Maldives as a keynote speaker for the Maldives Accountants Forum 2018.
I-FAC is the global organisation for the accountancy profession. I-FAC was founded in 1977 and boasts a membership of over 175 countries and jurisdictions worldwide. The organisation supports the development and implementation of international standards for accounting, ethics and public sector as well as audit and assurance.
