Maldives in the council meeting of World Customs Organisation

Commissioner General of Customs Services of Maldives Mohamed Junaid has participated in the Council Meeting of World Customs Organisation. The meeting held each year in the Belgian city of Brussels is a platform for the custom organisations across the world to come together and discuss ways to enhance the sector.
At the side-lines of the council meeting, Commissioner General Junaid met with various figures of the custom organisations, including officials from U.S., Japan, Korea and Indonesia. During the meetings, the countries assured to help Maldives to further enhance the customs sector, according to Customs Service of Maldives. In this regard, Japan assured to assist in the development of a laboratory and risk management framework of the customs in Maldives.
Moreover, the Commissioner General met with the Ambassador of Maldives for the European Union Ahmed Shiaan and discussed ways to provide assistance for European tourists visiting Maldives.
