Senok Trade contracted to establish a drainage system in Feydhoo

Ministry of Environment and Energy has contracted Senok Trade Combine Private Limited to establish a drainage system in Feydhoo of Addu city. The contract was signed by Minister of Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim and the accountant of Senok Trade Prabath Ruwanpura.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Thoriq noted flooding has been a big challenge for various islands in Maldives and highlighted the efforts of the government to solve such issues faced by the public.
A storm water management network will be established as part of the project to improve storm water drainage in the island, according to the environment ministry.
The project will cost over USD 1.2 million and will be funded by Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
