Egyptian delegation arrives in Maldives to participate in International Fatwa Conference

Delegates from Egypt have arrived in Maldives to participate in the International Conference of Fatwa. The delegates from Egypt was received by President of Supreme Fatwa Council of Maldives Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim and by Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad.
The fatwa conference initiated by the Supreme Fatwa Council will commence on July 8, with the participation of 5 countries including Maldives. The countries participating in the conference include Egypt, Malaysia, Jordan and Sudan. Students and representatives from universities in Maldives will also participate in the conference.
The fatwa conference held in Maldives for the first time will be a step towards maintaining the religious policies of Maldives. During the conference, discussions will be held in 3 different categories and the main aim of the conference is to strengthen the relationship between the countries that participate in the conference and to discuss the challenges faced in the religion sector of the countries.
