Maldives Accountants Forum 2018 successfully concludes

Auditor General's Office has successfully concluded Maldives Accountants Forum 2018. The second edition of the Maldives Accountants Forum, initiated by Auditor General's Office, commenced on July 2 and was targeted for practicing auditors, accountants in business, regulators, business community and academia.
Maldives Accountants Forum is the national platform for all the professional auditors and accountants to discuss and deliberate on matters of mutual interest with the industry stakeholders and regulators. The purpose of the forum was to promote accounting professionals and to gain industry confidence for their work while giving them the opportunity to share, learn, network and understand the emerging issues.
Speaking in the concluding ceremony of the forum, former Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Ibrahim Saleem called on the participants to use the knowledge gained from the forum in the field of work. Meanwhile, speaking in the ceremony, Assistant Auditor General Ibrahim Aiman revealed a bill of accounting profession will be proposed to the parliament by the end of the year and noted Maldives will work to attain the membership of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
The forum was informative and will help the participants to rise up in the accounting sector, according to participants.
