Foreign Minister sends condolences to his Turkish counterpart, following devastating train accident

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim has sent a message to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu conveying sympathy to the government and people of Turkey.
In the message, foreign minister Asim expressed sadness to hear of the tragic train accident, causing the loss of several innocent lives including children and grave injuries to many.
Further, the foreign minister extended sincere condolences and sympathies to the government and the people of Turkey, especially to the families of the victims and wish for a speedy recovery to the injured during this time of national distress, on behalf of the government and the people of Maldives.
Twenty-four people were killed when a train, carrying 362 people, derailed in northwest Turkey.
