First Lady of Maldives Fathimath Ibrahim has met persons with disabilities living in Male' city. The function held at Dharubaaruge convention centre was attended by many families of the persons with disabilities.
During the meeting, first lady Fathimath Ibrahim separately held meeting with the families. First Lady conducts the meetings to inquire about the living standards and to discuss on the challenges faced by the community.
Moreover, during the function, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed noted if President Yameen secures a second term, the allowance given by the state for persons with disabilities will be increased and more job opportunities will be provided.
The families in attendance at the meeting thanked the first lady for her continuous efforts and support in enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities.
