Maldives has participated in the 38th Congress of World Association of Chef's Society (WACS). The World Chefs Congress and Expo 2018 was held in Kuala Lumpur convention centre from July 11-14.
While over 4,000 chefs from across the world participated in the congress and expo, Maldivian delegation comprised of 21 chefs. In this regard, 16 chefs and 5 young chefs were included in the Maldivian delegation. Maldives attended the congress and expo on behalf of the Chefs Guild Maldives (CGM).
The congress provides an opportunity for chefs from across the world to enhance their relationship within one platform, according to CGM. Moreover, CGM added revolutionary changes brought to cooking and foods are also discussed during the congress.
