Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim has stated the relationship between the citizens and the government is not proven by the speeches given on the podiums but rather from the success of socially beneficial projects conducted to ease the living standards.
The success of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) is due to relationship established with the public, Health Minister Abdulla Nazim highlighted while speaking at a function held to open a party quarter in Hinnavaru of Lhaviyani atoll. Health Minister Nazim further highlighted speeches delivered on podiums are not enough to gain support, adding it is important to achieve the pledges made and addressing the needs of the citizens. In this regard, the minister spoke on the importance and closeness President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom attaches to the people.
A large number of citizens from the island participated in the ceremony and appreciated the projects conducted by the administration for the development of the island. Furthermore, during the ceremony, Minister Nazim held a gathering to meet the citizens of the island in which he highlighted the opposition does not have a beneficial manifesto to deliver to the public.
