100 additional Hajj quotas granted to private groups

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has revealed 100 Hajj quotas from the additional Hajj quota granted by the government of Saudi Arabia have been provided to private Hajj groups.
Speaking to media, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad said Saudi Arabia has granted an additional 1,000 Hajj quotas, with 900 of those quotas have been provided to Maldives Hajj Corporation. The remaining 100 quotas were provided to Al-haramain and Thazkiyaa group, with each group receiving 50 quotas, the minister said.
Moreover, the Islamic minister revealed pilgrims leaving for Hajj as part of the additional quota will be arranged within a week. The additional quota has proved the close relationship Maldives has with Arab countries, expressed the minister.
Initially, the Saudi Arabian government granted Maldives 1,000 quotas but increased it a total of 2,000, upon request from the government of Maldives.
