First Lady of Maldives Fathimath Ibrahim has received a warm welcome from all the islands she visited in Baa Atoll, as part of her nationwide social campaign.
During her trip, the first lady highlighted the efforts of the current administration to enhance the social lives of citizens, including every individual, despite their differences. In this regard, the first lady called to work to secure a second term for President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to further enhance the livelihoods of the citizens. The residents of the islands lauded the efforts of the first lady and the closeness she has attached to the marginalised population in Maldives.
The nationwide social campaign was initiated by the first lady to closely monitor the lives of people with special needs and the elderly citizens and to ensure their basic needs are fulfilled.
