Maldivians need a leader who can fulfil their dreams: President

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has affirmed the people of Maldives need a leader who can fulfil their visions and dreams.
The principles upheld by his administration serve to maintain peace and stability among the people, while safeguarding the Islamic faith, President Yameen said while speaking at a function organised by Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in Guraidhoo in Thaa Atoll. President Yameen also said that by putting forth these national values, his administration has managed to develop the country and gain progress in all areas. In his speech, the president called upon the public to put forward religion first, and then the nation.
Moreover, the president also questioned whether any other government is capable of recovering the lost funds of the state via Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). No attempts were made to recover funds lost via corruption by previous administrations, the president said, further adding it is an obligation of the government to recover lost state funds.
The president visited Guraidhoo, as part of his campaigning efforts to secure a second term in office.
