Citizens aspire development, not chaos: Dr. Shaheem

Running mate of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has revealed Maldivians do not want to spread chaos in the country by supporting the opposition coalition.
If the opposition wins the upcoming presidential election, the country would be thrown in to chaos and instability, the running mate of the ruling party said addressing a function held at Hithadhoo in Laamu Atoll, as part of campaign efforts to re-elect the incumbent president to a second term in office. In this regard, Shaheem said a coalition with different ideologies will not last and urged the public to support the president. Moreover, Shaheem expressed Maldivians now envision development for the country and highlighted President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom must be given a second term to further prosper the country.
Furthermore, addressing a ceremony held in Maamendhoo, the running mate reiterated President Yameen is prospering the country overcoming many political challenges faced by the administration. Shaheem highlighted peace was restored and the social structure of the country was renewed after President Yameen took office in 2013.
Shaheem has visited four islands of Laamu Atoll, as part of his campaign efforts to re-elect President Yameen to a second term in office. In this regard, Shaheem visited and held gatherings and door-to-door meetings at Maavah, Kunahandhoo, Hithadhoo and Maamendhoo.
