HDC arranges easier transportation to Hulhumale' via Sina-Male' Bridge

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has arranged easier transportation for those entering Hulhumale’ via the Sina-Male’ Bridge.
The project to construct a terminal especially for passengers travelling to Hulhumale’ via the bridge is almost complete, Assistant Director of HDC Hussain Ziyath said revealing information about changes brought to the traffic flow in Hulhumale’ with the inauguration of the bridge. Hussain Ziyath noted the terminal can accommodate all types of vehicles, adding the terminal will have designated areas for bus, four-wheel vehicles, private vehicles and motorcycles.
It has been decided by the government that Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) will provided bus services between Male’ City and Hulhumale’ via the Sina-Male’ Bridge. However, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) will continue to provide bus services within Hulhumale’, according to HDC.
Moreover, HDC revealed major efforts are underway to minimise overcrowding in Hulhumale’, following the inauguration of bridge. In this regard, HDC added changes have been made to the traffic flow in Hulhumale’ to ease travel from the bridge. Furthermore, the construction of the road linking Hulhule’ and Hulhumale’ is also nearing completion, according to HDC.
Transportation within the greater Male’ region is expected to be eased with the inauguration of the bridge.
