Island Aviation Services Limited, the national airline carrier, has revealed the facilities and the services of the national airline have boosted and augmented remarkably within the past five years. Speaking on a programme aired on PSM News to deliver the successes of the national airline, Maldivian, within the past five years, participants of the panel discussion revealed the remarkable achievements made by the company.
Speaking on the programme, Deputy Head of Finance and Accounting Hussain Shaf’ath stated the income generated saw an extraordinary increment in the past five years. He noted the income generated increased by 98% in 2017, when compared to 2013. Moreover, Marketing Manager Shama Bushree added the performance of the company increased in the past five years with the increase in new international destinations. Meanwhile, Head of Training and Standards Captain Mohamed Shinaz highlighted in 2013, the fleet size of Maldivian was 7, which was increased to 23 within the past couple of years. Furthermore, speaking about the achievements of Maldivian, Engineer Mohamed Lam-aan noted the number of jobs created for local staff force has been increased in the past few years.
All participants of the panel discussion revealed the facilities and services to be introduced in the future to further enhance the national airline.
