The government of Maldives has contracted Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) to develop a harbour Fulhadhoo in Baa Atoll. A harbour in the island will be developed as part of the efforts to transform the transport network in Maldives, according to Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Furthermore, the housing minister revealed the harbour will be developed at Fulhadhoo at a cost of over USD 1.5 million, which will be funded from the state budget and the corporate social responsibility (CSR) budget of the tourism sector. The project should be completed within a period of 8 months.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee noted the all-inclusive development policies of the government.
