PPM to work as an responsible opposition party

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has assured to responsibly work as an opposition party.

Speaking at the first press conference held after the presidential election, Deputy Leader of PPM Abdul Raheem Abdulla congratulated the President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on his win. Abdul Raheem Abdulla stated the victory of Ibrahim Mohamed Solih makes PPM an opposition party, adding the party will responsibly carry out its duties to the Maldivian people.

Moreover, Abdul Raheem noted one most important work ongoing is to reform the party, highlighting a party congress will be held which will decide the future of the party.

In the press conference, PPM thanked all the supporters who voted for President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
