President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has nominated Ahmed Latheef as the Director General of Transition.
Addressing a press conference, spokesperson of the President-Elect said Ahmed Latheef has been nominated as Director General of Transition, in a letter sent by Ibrahim Mohamed Solih to the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
The spokesperson added the speed at which procedures related to the transfer of power progresses is in the hands of CSC. Mariya called upon CSC to endorse President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's nomination to the position of Director General of Transition and facilitate a swift transition.
At the press conference, she echoed her call upon state institutions to refrain from providing services outside day-to-day services, during the transition period.
