Elections Commission of Maldives has said no complaints were filed at the commission officially by any party regarding the final results of the presidential election.
No official complaints were filed at the commission regarding the final result of presidential election, despite the several rumours spread on social media and other platforms, according to the Elections Commission.
Noting members of the commission have received several threats following the rumours spread, the electoral body assured members and staff will not be influenced. Furthermore, the commission reiterated the institution will always abide by the laws and regulations.
While the commission has assured no complaints were filed officially, Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has raised concerns regarding the final results of the presidential election held on September 23.
