Spokesperson of President-Elect Mariya Ahmed Didi states foreign countries have said the presidential election was held more peacefully than expected.
Speaking in her daily press conference, Spokesperson of President-Elect expressed international stakeholders believe the procedure of election, from beginning till the announcements of results, was conducted very peacefully.
Noting heads of states of several countries have called and congratulated President-Elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on his landslide victory, Spokesperson Mariya said it shows the world have accepted the election and its results, as well as the incoming president.
Further, Mariya said the electoral process was well-monitored by international observers.
