Ambassador of the European Union to Maldives Tung-Lai Margue has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Asim.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign minister and the ambassador discussed the close cooperation between the European Union and the Maldives, as well as the prospect for further strengthening cooperation in areas such as climate change, democracy consolidation and countering terrorism.
Ambassador Tung-Lai Margue was accompanied by Head of Division for South Asia at the European External Action Services (EEAS) Caroline Vinot and Maldives Political Officer of the Delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and Maldives Reema Mohamed.
