Maldives National University (MNU) has appointed Dr. Sheeza Ali as the Dean for the first ever School of Medicine established in Maldives.
At a ceremony held at MNU, following the appointment, Dr. Sheeza Ali assured to work to introduce more quality local doctors to the medical sector. Dr. Sheeza expressed hope to train speciality doctors from the medical school, even though, at first only medical officers will be trained.
Dr. Sheeza Ali has been serving in the health sector of Maldives since 1995. She has served in Ministry of Health and Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). Moreover, she completed her MBBS followed by a master degree in business management. In addition, with the commencement of the establishment of medical school, Dr. Sheeza had served immensely as the project manager.
