Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has begun announcing list of recipients of the flats as part of the social housing scheme initiated by the government of Maldives.
Speaking at a press conference, Housing Minister Mohamed Muizzu stated a total 22, 600 application forms were received by the ministry. Minister Muizzu revealed recipients of flats from some categories have now been published on the gazette. The housing minister noted flats were awarded after reviewing and evaluating the applications forms in a well-mannered procedure.
As part of the social housing scheme, flats are awarded from 10 categories.
