Director General for South Asia at the German Foreign Office pays courtesy call on Foreign Secretary

Director General for South Asia at the German Foreign Office Markus Potzel has paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Ahmed Sareer.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign secretary and the director general discussed enhancing the existing bilateral ties between both Germany and Maldives, particularly in areas such as climate change and countering terrorism and violent extremism. The foreign secretary also assured that the Maldives will continue working with Germany on important global issues of mutual concern.

Director General was accompanied by Ambassador of Germany to the Maldives Jörn Rohde.
