Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has decided to file election related cases at Maldives Police Service to investigate as criminal cases.
Speaking at a press conference held following the Supreme Court verdict on the case submitted by incumbent President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to annul the presidential election, Deputy Leader of the ruling party Abdul Raheem Abdulla said PPM fully respects the verdict. However, Abdul Raheem Abdulla stated PPM will look for all possibilities to ensure justice, stating the Supreme Court ruling opened a new door for their work towards justice.
Citing the Supreme Court verdict, Abdul Raheem Abdulla expressed the verdict has paved way by mentioning to submit criminal offences and corruption cases at relevant authorities to investigate.
