Maldives National University (MNU) has revealed plans to establish a learning centre at the Islamic Centre in Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll and begin operations in January.
The Islamic Centre in Thinadhoo was opened officially on September 11 with 8 classrooms, a library, an administrative office and a multipurpose hall.
Speaking to PSM News, Vice Chancellor of MNU Aishath Khaleela Abdul Sattar said permission has been granted to begin programmes in the Thinadhoo Islamic Centre. Noting preparations are underway to begin the programmes in Thinadhoo along with the commencement of the January semester of MNU, Aishath Khaleela Abdul Sattar stated it has been proven the demand is higher for MNU programmes from the island.
Aishath Khaleela Abdul Sattar expressed plans to hold an open day in Thinadhoo to disseminate information regarding the programmes.
