X-ray services resume in Thinadhoo

X-Ray services have resumed in Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. The X-ray service provided by the hospital was interrupted due to some damages for the machine. The services resumed after repairing the machine, according to the hospital.

Public Health Officer of the Hospital Shahuza Hassan confirmed X-ray services have been resumed, adding, however; currently, priority is given for patients in need for emergency attention. Since the medical equipment for the hospital is provided by State Trading Organisation (STO), the spare parts were also brought to the island with the assistance of the company, she added.

Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital serves the whole Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, with over 200 people seeking medical services from the hospital daily. One of the services most in demand is noted as the X-Ray service.
