Tree Top Hospital has successfully completed its first Total Knee Replacement (TKR) surgery.

The surgery performed on a 69-year-old with severe osteoarthritis was conducted on October 15. The procedure was led by Orthopaedic Surgeons; Dr. David Montenegro and Dr. Catherine Kellett and assisted by a skilled team of anaesthetists and nurses, according to Tree Top Hospital.

Highlighting TKR surgery will now be available from the Department of Orthopaedics, Tree Top Hospital added rates for all surgical procedures are competitive and are eligible for the national healthcare insurance coverage. The hospital said its orthopaedic doctors are specialists and have extensive training, experience and expertise in joint replacement surgery.

Tree Top Hospital noted latest techniques and tools are used during the procedure to improve care for individuals of all ages with orthopaedic problems. Given the success of the TKR programme, the hospital revealed plans to perform hip replacement surgery in the near future.
