Elections Commission has met with Addu City Council to discuss the changes brought to the Addu City constituencies.
Speaking to PSM News, Addu City Council stated discussions were held to separate constituencies for Hulhudhoo and Meedhoo, in addition to forming a new constituency including Maradhoo-Feydhoo and a part of Maradhoo. Discussions also focused on introducing a new constituency for Hithadhoo, according to the city council.
Elections Commission has commenced preparations for Parliamentary Election 2019 scheduled to be held next March.
